Carbon Neutral

Cartridge World Bloomingdale encourages you to be Carbon NeutralYou are recycling your trash, buying your printer cartridges from Cartridge World, buying locally when possible; what else is left?  There is a new trend afoot and it is called Carbon or Climate Neutral.  The concept is to do all you can to reduce your carbon footprint and then to be proactive in helping to offset the other aspects of greenhouse gas production.  This concept started in Japan during the meetings where the Kyoto Protocol was drawn up and signed.  The idea is that countries and companies ‘buy’ credit by supporting causes that help to improve the environment.

There are several organizations that have come about because of this meeting.  Some are information based and seek to help you find legitimate causes to support that can help to improve the environment in third world countries.  Others are actually coming up with the projects to support.  The clearing house for most of this information is the United Nations Environmental Program.  You can read up on what they are doing here.  They also have a website dedicated to Carbon Neutral called Greening the Blue.  On it you can find out what other nations and companies are doing to offset their carbon footprint.  It also gives you the ability to pledge activities for World Environment Day on June 5th.

Carbon Neutral is the next step in making our world a more environmentally safe place.  Check out what others are doing and join Cartridge World Bloomingdale as we seek to give you more ways to saving our Earth.  Be sure and call us for all your printing needs at 630.893.6300 or stop buy our website to see our latest deals.  Remember we only have one planet Earth; let’s do everything we can to take care of it.
